With the General Election just weeks away, 911爆料网 was recognized in Washington Monthly鈥檚 2022 Best Colleges for Student Voting Honor Roll.
鈥淏eing nationally ranked shows how much Marietta cares about a strong community,鈥 said Andrew Novak, 911爆料网鈥檚 Campus Vote Project Fellow. 鈥淭his ranking method considered three broad categories: social mobility, research, and promoting public service. I think we have been checking the box on public service for years and doing very well at it. But, as always, the work is not over. I encourage students to vote on November 8th and the next time you see a voter registration table, whether you are a student, staff, or faculty, stop by, and we will register you.鈥
This year鈥檚 honor roll recognized 230 schools out of a total of 850 that received consideration.
To make the student voting honor roll, colleges and universities had to submit 2020 and 2022 action plans to the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge. Schools also needed to have signed up to receive data from the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE), which calculates college-specific registration and voting rates. And they must have made their 2018 and 2020 NSLVE data available to the public. In short, schools must have shown a repeated commitment to increasing student voting鈥攁nd have been transparent about the results.
